The Maypole Dance is performed every year by Rising 7th grade students as a culmination to the last day of school and end of the school year. The Maypole, which is installed each May by senior students, has been a tradition continued on from when Archer was formerly the Eastern Star Home for Women. The Archer School for Girls was founded in 1995 with the mission of providing a highly intellectual and creative learning environment designed around the ways girls learn best. Led by Head of School Elizabeth English, Archer is a contemporary girls’ school that combines the latest research on pedagogy, technology, and social issues to prepare young women for leadership in a global world. Because an Archer education instills an abiding love for learning, it’s an experience that shapes graduates for the rest of their lives. Archer is an independent, college preparatory school for girls grades six through twelve and is located in the heart of Brentwood, California. For more information visit .
