We are facing a global epidemic! Due to the popularity of social media, and AI technology, youth are experiencing higher levels than ever of body dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, and harmful cognitive dissonance between what is perceived and what is actual beauty. While we can’t stop the advancement of tools like AI, we can take control of our use and understanding of them. Sabrina wants to go beyond clichés, offering practical strategies grounded in her personal experiences as a model and the unique challenges she had to face in the fashion industry. She wants to explore worthiness beyond trendy self-love, affirmations and the “beauty within” movements and go deeper. Sabrina believes that through algorithmic transparency, digital literacy programs, early mentorship, and positive body image initiatives, we can teach the next generation to not only discern what’s real and what’s not, but leverage these tools for creativity and self expression! Sabrina Greer is an author, speaker, podcast host and mentor to creative entrepreneurs. She is also the visionary behind fEMPOWER Publications—a community and publishing house empowering female leaders. At her core, Sabrina is a mother x3 and a homesteader. As an ex-model and survivor of 20 years in the fashion and beauty industry, she is passionate about positive body image advocacy and empowering women’s self worth. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
