John Singer Sargent paints fellow artists

John Singer Sargent has remained one of the most admired artists of all time. His boundless work ethic borders on the heroic, he had no assistants but was able to complete huge portraits, Murals and countless sketches and plein air works that established a new standard, which was referred to as The New Art. Sargent was also very generous with fellow artists and societies that needed his contribution to help their cause. Sargent was skilled in several languages and taught at the Royal Academy in London on occasion.
