As an anticipation of our new album, we chose a song... that is not included on the album: an electro-funk version of the traditional tune “Misirlou“, which we regularly play on our live sets. You may describe it as dreaming California from the Alps. Interestingly enough, the origins of the song are not completely clear: is it Turkish? Or Greek? Or perhaps Egyptian? Wikipedia describes it as a “traditional song from the Eastern Mediterranean region“, which makes a good point for letting people and ideas circulate freely across borders.
