(1 Sep 1998) English/Nat The U-S First Lady Hillary Clinton's is in Moscow - making her first public appearance since her husband admitted an inappropriate relationship with a former White House intern. Mrs. Clinton appeared jet-lagged but otherwise happy to meet Naina Yeltsin, wife of Russian leader Boris Yeltsin. The two toured a private women's clothing factory and took part in a discussion with small business owners, before touring one of Moscow's premier museums. The First Lady has been the focus of international attention since her husband admitted having an inappropriate relationship with former White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. But it was business as usual as Hillary Clinton visited one of Russia's most famous art museums on Tuesday. The Tretyakov gallery has one of the most prestigious collections in the world, containing works from Medieval times to contemporary art. Mrs Clinton was given a guided tour by one of the curators. She also met up with Naina Yeltsin, wife of Russian leader Boris Yeltsin. The two toured a private women's clothing factory and took part in a discussion with businesswomen. The visit was designed to highlight the work of female small business owners, who in addition to the regular trials facing entrepreneurs, also must battle the sexism pervasive in Russian society.
