Here is a quick tutorial on how to make quick and dirty maps in QGIS that you can print out at home! Though physical paper maps are not so common these days, with the changing nature of warfare (and surveillance), and just the general reliability issues that come with technology, having an old school navigational method is needed now more than ever before. And since the costs of buying paper maps can add up quite quickly, it is nice to have the skills to make your own maps and print them out at home for a fraction of the cost.
