Official statistics reveal that within just two hours, the capital of Corrientes experienced more rainfall than the entire month of February. Over the span of 63 days, the precipitation surpassed that of the first half of 2023. Local authorities have labeled this as an unprecedented ecological disaster. The flooding was compounded by strong winds reaching speeds of 140 km/h. Resulting in roof damages, fallen trees, and widespread power outages in many areas. Currently, 791 individuals have been affected, having lost their homes due to the rainfall.
