An inexpensive satellite antenna rotator, the SARCTRAC Mk3 is lightweight, portable, and automatically moves my antenna to track satellites using several common satellite tracking programs. I've used this effectively in portable deployments with my Icom IC-705 and my Yaesu FT-991A, and at home with my Icom IC-9700. It's a kit made by the Australian School Amateur Radio Club Network (SARCNET), an organization whose aim is to enhance students' understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) principles. I've used this rotator with my antennas to bounce signals through a number of amateur satellites, including the International Space Station (ISS). Watch the video to get an idea of assembling and using the kit. And please subscribe to my channel. 73 de WK3U!
