14 oz 1 inch cut steak (Ribeye, New York, or Filet Mignon) 8 oz red or yellow potatoes 6 garlic cloves 2 tbsp cooking oil 2 tbsp of butter 2 Sprig of fresh rosemary Step 1 Cut the potatoes into quarters or 1 inch cubes and crush the 6 garlics Step 2 Allow the steak to sit at room temperature for 30 mins. Then remove all the moisture with a paper towel. Next, generously season both side with salt & pepper (about 1 tsp each) Step 3 Add 2 tbsp of cooking oil to the pan and set the heat to Medium-High until the pan begins to smoke. Step 4 Add the potatoes to the pan and season with salt & pepper to taste. Then add in the steak and sear 2-3 minutes each side until you form a nice crust. Allow more cook time if you prefer the steak to be more done.
