Humpback Whale

Humpback whales can be found in every ocean. They undertake epic migrations from their polar feeding grounds to their breeding and birthing grounds in the tropics. Males produce a complex song typically lasting from 4 to 33 minutes. They are capable of breaching the water's surface and even jumping into the air. Bubble-net feeding is practiced by some populations. It involves coordination through vocalizations. They use a team effort to disorient and corral the fish into a “net“ of bubbles. This demonstrates signs of high social intelligence.
