Footage from testing of the Chinese GL-6 active protection system The system is designed to protect PLA armored vehicles from infrared- or laser-guided anti-tank missiles and other precision-guided munitions that can penetrate armor. The GL-6 uses a combination of sensors, including radar and infrared detectors, to identify threats. These sensors can detect missiles and projectiles from long distances, even in adverse conditions such as rain, dust or smoke. Once a threat is detected, the system automatically analyzes the data to determine whether it poses a risk to the vehicle. The system then intercepts and destroys threats before they reach their target, keeping the vehicle and its crew safe. It is known that the GL-6 is installed on Chinese ZTD-05 amphibious combat vehicles, ZBL-09 armored infantry fighting vehicles, Type 99 tanks, and new infantry fighting vehicles in the airborne forces.A power outage was recorded in Odessa Source: Lord Of War
