'Follow the money': Liz Cheney funded by elite Democratic donors

Under-siege Republican Liz Cheney is being funded by outside donors linked to the Democratic Party, according to the New York Times. Film producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, who donated thousands towards the campaigns for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, has put his money behind her ailing campaign. Mr Katzenberg has donated at least $43,000 to Ms Cheney's campaign to win her congressional seat in Wyoming. Despite the massive amount of money from outside donors, Ms Cheney is the underdog in her primary fight against the Trump-backed Harriet Hageman.
