US vice-president Kamala Harris's campaign says it has now raised more than half a billion Dollars for the election battle against Republican nominee and former president, Donald Trump. The Harris campaign said that almost a third of the donations came from first-time contributors. The Trump campaign, meanwhile, reported having more than 300 million dollars on hand at the start of the month. The figures underscore the huge role money plays in modern US election campaigns.
