Weather experts expect up to 70 centimeters of new snow above 1,600 meters in the Swiss Alps in the coming days and possibly even more above. National weather service MeteoSwiss issued a Level 2 warning (of five) for regions above 1200m from Sunday evening to Tuesday morning. This corresponds to a moderate level of danger, i.e. the danger of ice on snowy roads. MeteoSwiss reports that the snowfall limit should drop to 700 meters over the next two days.
