Dronemusik Danmark is a danish organisation, dedicated to the preservation of old drone-instruments like the Drejelire (Hurdy-Gurdy), Sækkepibe (Bagpipe), and Nyckelharpa. Nicolas Koch Simms and Troels Dueholm Nørgaard, two members of the organisation, played a few tunes at a big folk concert at ALICE CPH earlier in September, which we were lucky to record! Dronemusik Danmark have done so many great things for the folk music community in Denmark! Recently, they crowdfunded a drone-instrumentbank to give children in musicschools the opportunity to play these amazing, (but very expensive!), instruments. Check out their work here: Nicolas Koch Simms - Hurdy Gurdy (left) Troels Dueholm Nørgaard - Hurdy Gurdy (right) FOLK is your guide to scandinavian folk music in all its shapes and forms. Our goal is to show you what's happening on the nordic folk music scene, both traditional and contemporary, by giving you high-quality videos with music and interviews. Subscribe to our Youtube and follow our Facebook, if you'd like to know more about the great music of the north! Recording and idea - Frederik Quist Holm (With a very big thanks to the Alice FOH-Engineer!) Filming and editing - Lukas Thomsen
