Over the next eight days, nine more people died after being ill within 24 hours. On their deathbeds, they reported that the deceased Plogojoviz came to them in a dream, lay down on them and choked them. Finally, the wife of the deceased reported that her deceased husband came to her and demanded his shoes. In Frombald's report, for the first time, the term “vampyr” was used in relation to a specific person known by name, namely Peter Plogojoviz, which then entered all European languages.
