“Duality of memories“ is a short video that beautifully portrays the concept of double exposure. The main character, walking through her favorite location in Minsk, seemingly splits into two distinct subjects within her memories. Her “ghost“ desperately attempts to recall every detail while wandering alongside the “real version“ of herself. As the film unfolds, the vibrant atmosphere of street dancing, Latin American music, and the hustle and bustle of food stalls add to its energetic rhythm. The juxtaposition of these lively elements in the real past scene is contrasted with the nostalgic, dream-like state of the character's memories. Through the use of double exposure, the audience witnesses a visual representation of the girl's internal conflict as she tries to reconcile her past and present.
