After that, kovus girlfriend broke up with him. Kovu felt empty inside, but when Nala came by, he felt better. Then they ran away together and fell in love. Months later, they have a cub name Simba. Kovu and Nala love their son very much. They love spending some time together. Then when Nala left to go hunting, a rogue lion came by and threatened Kovu. The rogue lion snaps and hits Kovu. Nala came back and was shocked at what happened. She attacked and fought with the rogue lion and hits him. Nala finds kovu but figured that he was dead. When simba found out, he broke into tears.
