The Mercedes-Benz Museum brings the rally variant R107 based on the Mercedes-Benz 500 SL Roadster to the Californian desert and impressively demonstrates the dynamic of the vehicle. The R107 was intended as the successor to the longer-wheelbase SLC coupés that Mercedes-Benz campaigned in international rallying in the late 1970s. This particular R107 is one of four that was prepared for the 1981 rally season. More about the R107 in the Californian desert: Experience the world of Merce
