In the summer of 1991, Sheldon and Miriam Adelson visit the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory, seeking his blessing for their upcoming marriage. The Rebbe gives Sheldon a blessing “for your entire family,“ followed by two additional dollar bills to each to be given to charity on the day of their wedding. After giving Miriam an additional dollar bill to be given to charity on the day of her wedding, Miriam asks the Rebbe for a blessing for a child, to which the Rebbe responds, “Why in the singular?“, giving her two additional dollar bills and blessing her she bring “good tidings and much success.“ The Rebbe adds two dollar bills -- one each for her son and daughter from a previous marriage. The Rebbe blesses Sheldon that they have a son and a daughter. The couple is introduced by the Chabad emissary to Lexington MA, Rabbi Alter Bukiet. 27 Sivan, 5751 - June 9, 1991 Watch full-length videos of the Rebbe: https://g
