A visit to Stonehenge to witness the sunrise (and previous evening's sunset) on the shortest day of the year, with Druids, pagans, revellers and astronomers, all meeting up to celebrate the summer solstice. It was a clear, beautiful sunset the night before, then a misty, atmospheric sunrise. Discussions of various alignments were talked about with Simon Banton regarding a little known winter solstice alignment, and ceremonies and rituals enacted in old English fashion welcomed in the turning of the year.
