CHILDREN AND ADULTS PARADING DOWN STREET IN HEAVY RAIN Background: The Co-operative Society marches along Wrexham High Street on a cold, wet, summer’s day. The camera is positioned in one place and catches all the men, women and children (girls and boys segregated) as they pass by. A man in a bowler hat exhorts them all to put down their umbrellas, at the behest of the camera-man it would seem, and they do so, braving the weather in order to appear as visibly as possible on the big screen at ’The Glynn’, the local cinema, for which venue this film was specifically made.
