Just Slimming Along (1933)

Location of events unknown. Introductory intertitle reads: “Now the fine weather is here and lighter clothes are the vogue, Eve is busy getting into slimmer trim.“ A group of young women jog across a bridge. They then do leg flexing exercises and some high kicks. They look like enthusiastic amateurs rather than showgirls. Nice shots of the girls touching up their make-up in the open air and C/Us of their bodies as they exercise. “These are the most beneficial exercises for the figure one can try“ says Mrs Sheldon Wilkinson, the Expert - “ M/S of a woman lying on her back doing leg stretches and “scissors“ - she flashes off her bloomers. Various other shots of the girls doing leg exercises including “scissors“ and “bicycling“. C/U of a young girl (about 7 or 8 years old) doing some leg exercises.
