How to operate the electric glass roof of your BMW from outside BMW How-To

In this video, BMW How-To will show you how to operate the electric glass roof of your BMW from outside. If your BMW has been parked with the glass roof open for a longer period or if it starts to rain, the glass roof automatically moves to the raised position. If available, you can activate this function by going to “CAR”, “Settings”, “Doors/Vehicle access” and check the box “Automatic roof closing”. To open the glass roof from outside the vehicle, press and hold the unlock button on the vehicle key. The vehicle windows open together with the glass roof until the button is released. By pressing and holding the lock button on your vehicle key, or, if equipped with Comfort Access, by holding the sensor on the door handle, you can close the glass roof and the windows again.
