Subscribe: With the release of Simpsons shorts on Disney like “Plusaversary” and “The Good, the Bart, and the Loki,” the Disney/Simpsons synergy is stronger than ever before. But even though Springfield’s first family only recently received their invite into the House of Mouse thanks to Disney’s 2019 acquisition of 20th Century Fox, The Simpsons have been skewering Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel basically since the show’s inception. Of course, the internet is keen on uncovering hidden Simpsons references, so we did a deep dive into the most interesting moments, easter eggs, and references when Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie took aim at Disney. 20th Century Fox, of course, isn’t the only big acquisition Disney made in the last decade or so, with the company buying Marvel (and thus Kevin Fiege’s MCU) in 2009 for $4 billion, before gobbling up Lucasfilm (and George Lucas’ Star Wars) in 2012, also for $4 billion.
