If there's one scene that has gotten very hard to capture over the last years it's Kaido Racers. Ever since moving to Japan over 30 years ago it's been a style that has always captivated my interest for the simple fact that there's just nothing like it anywhere else in the world. It's as Japanese as it gets and a true celebration of some of the coolest old school domestic cars out there not to mention the very particular lifestyle that goes along with it. I met up with a small group of cars in the middle of Chiba Prefecture for their New Year get together and just enjoyed every moment of it, from the rare models I spotted to the crazy executions. The drive at the end of the night was just a bonus!
