Learn in this video how to setup your data privacy settings to optimize the experience of the BMW Operating System 8 and control the data usage. Make sure you are logged in with your BMW ID and that your Data Privacy settings are set. You find them by going to ““Menu““, ““All Apps““, ““System settings““ and scrolling down to ““Data Privacy““. Select “All services including analysis” to get the best user experience for BMW’s ConnectedDrive services. This way BMW can use all data generated by your vehicle use to offer more personalized services. Of course it is up to you to activate data use only for specific services. Here’s a quick example: In Navigation you can manage data privacy directly. Just go to “Settings” and “Configure Services”. Long-press on any Data Privacy Menu setting to open a pop-up with further info about the relevant data usage.
