I received this vintage My Little Pony Lemon Drop from Lyndsey. She told me she had gotten her in a carboot sale in the 90s and her hair was already short. The Pony was made in 1982 by Hasbro and looked in overall good shape, save for an unconventional haircut and a mysterious greenish tone. The rehairing was easy, the de-greening... no so much! However, with a little help from science and a whole lot of soap I think I managed to make her look close to her better days! Unlike my other restorations, this time I used nylon hair. I think acrylic has more body to it, but nylon is closer to the original My Little Pony hair. NOTE: Be careful when you apply acetone to unglue a pony's head. Do not use sharp tools, I recommend instead something like a blunt knife or sculpting tools. Always work in a ventilated place if you're using acetone and/or peroxide.
